Luke Conner - One of Alaska's best guides

-We are an Alaskan small business, owned and operated by our family. The Styers family has been living in Alaska since the 1970's. The fishing tradition has been passed along ever since. We have lived in the Matanuska Susitna Valley for over 15 years, and have found the fishing here to be just wonderful. We have always spent all the time possible out on the rivers. For us there aren't too many better places to be than enjoying the outdoors.

Bret and Devin are our two fishing guides. Bret currently attends Brigham Young University during the winter months while he is studying Construction Management. He has been playing for the BYU hockey team for 3.5 years. He lives with his wife Britta, and they love to come back to Alaska for the summers to work and fish. Bret has served a two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Toronto, Ontario. Bret and Britta plan on moving back to Alaska permanently after they finish school. Until then they will only spend the summers in Alaska.

Devin is currently serving his mission for the church in Chihuahua Mexico. He is fluent in Spanish. He will be returning home for the summer of 2008. When he returns he will probably attend school somewhere in the lower 48, while he guides for us in the summer time. Devin's pasttimes involve hockey in the winter and fishing all summer. Devin is a four time high school state champion for his hockey team, and he played one year at BYU with his brother before leaving on his mission.

Bret and Devin are both very capable people. They are very committed to serving all those around them. They have proved to be honest and hard working, and most of all they want to share the great fun and joy that goes along with experiencing fishing in Alaska. They have several years of experience fishing with some of Alaska's best fishing guides.
